Worship

At Dalkeith Baptist, we believe that our spiritual lives must be founded on a passionate devotion  to the worship of God.  Worship is the vertical (God-directed) expression of a heart experience that deeply delights in and treasures God.  Clearly, we are called on to express this love for God in all of our life’s activities.  At the same time, however, worship takes on a special meaning as we gather with other believers to outwardly express that amazement.
We are learning to strive for a worship time that is: God-centered and God-seeking, Bible based and saturated, an expression of our head and heart (spiritual truth and passionate emotion), both reverent and intense, an authentic communication of God’s Word, filled with love, led with “undistracting” excellence, and a balanced reflection of the church’s diversity.
2009 has been a great year in terms of worship.  Over the past year we’ve seen…

We continue to seek passionate worshippers to serve in guiding others in worship.
Pastor Nathan Randall is currently preaching through the Book of Mark. Mark’s Gospel is not just a random collection of events in Jesus’ life and selections of His teaching.  Instead, Mark was written to tell us the good news about Jesus (Mark 1:1) and in doing so he reveals to us that Jesus is quite unlike anyone else who ever lived.  He is the great servant and Savior – the Lord of all. Come study the Gospel of Mark with us!  Sermons on CD are always available after each Sunday service.
